Aurelie and I went to the races at Ascot at the end of September. The new grandstand was something to behold and the facilities were nicer than I've seen elsewhere. The sunny autumn afternoon just added to the atmosphere.

The race course is about 1.75 miles long and the last bit is uphill
On our way back to campus from Cornwall, we stopped at Tintagel castle. Again, it was a beautiful day and the place couldn't have been prettier. The castle was situated on an island/peninsula with sheer walls dropping about a hundred meters. The cliff edges were tantalizing :)
